The Nua Studio – Warranty Policy and Terms & Conditions

At The Nua Studio, we take pride in the quality of our craftsmanship. This warranty policy outlines the coverage, process, and terms that protect both our clients and our operations. Please read carefully before proceeding with your purchase or custom order.


1. Warranty Coverage

1.1 Furniture and Modular Cabinetry

Warranty Period

  • Residential use: One (1) year from the date of delivery

  • Commercial use: Six (6) months limited structural warranty (see Section 5.2) from date of delivery

  • Outdoor use: Three (3) months limited structural warranty (see Section 5.2) from date of delivery

Coverage

  • Structural Integrity: Defects in materials and craftsmanship that affect core structure and durability

  • Hardware & Mechanisms: Covers malfunctioning hinges, drawer slides, push-to-open systems, and similar components, only if supplied by The Nua Studio

Exclusions

  • Normal wear and tear: scratches, dents, fading, or natural aging of wood

  • Environmental damage: exposure to moisture, sunlight, pests, or extreme humidity

  • Overloading, misuse, improper installation, or lack of maintenance

  • Damage during relocation or reinstallation by third parties

  • Unauthorized repairs or alterations

  • Accessories and hardware not supplied by The Nua Studio


1.2 Small Crafts & Home Accessories

Warranty Period

  • Two (2) months from the date of delivery

Coverage

  • Structural or craftsmanship defects

  • Hardware issues, only if the item was fully supplied by The Nua Studio

Exclusions

  • Same exclusions listed in Section 1.1


2. Shipping and On-Site Repairs

  • Customers are responsible for shipping or courier fees related to warranty claims

  • For large or fixed installations, on-site service may be arranged; however, mobilization and labor fees apply and must be paid in advance


3. Warranty Claim Process

To file a warranty claim, provide one of the following:

  • Official receipt or invoice

  • Website order number

  • Payment confirmation

Each claim must include:

  • Clear photos of the issue

  • A written description

  • Additional documentation if requested


4. Warranty Resolution

If your claim is approved during the warranty period, The Nua Studio may, at its discretion:

  • Repair the item

  • Replace the item with an equivalent model

  • Refund the purchase amount if repair or replacement is not feasible

⚠️ A repair or replacement does not renew or extend the original warranty period.


5. Terms and Conditions

5.1 General Conditions

Warranty applies only to products manufactured and sold by The Nua Studio.

5.1.1 Client Approval of Custom Designs, Specifications, and Assumed Risk

If a client provides or approves a custom design, layout, material, or specification, The Nua Studio will not be liable for any resulting issues. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Structural problems (e.g., unsupported spans or proportions)

  • Aesthetic or ergonomic dissatisfaction

  • Functional limitations (e.g., layout, hardware placement)

  • Premature wear due to client-selected materials

  • Fit or clearance issues at the installation site

Once a design is approved, it is considered final. Any changes in preference—such as color, size, layout, or style—after approval or once production has started are not covered by warranty and may incur additional charges.

By approving a design or supplying specifications, the client accepts full responsibility for its safety, functionality, and suitability. These items are excluded from warranty coverage related to design failure, instability, or dissatisfaction.


5.2 Commercial and Outdoor Use Limitations

Commercial Use
Products used in commercial or public settings (e.g., cafés, restaurants, offices, salons) are covered by a six (6) month limited structural warranty from the date of delivery. This excludes surface wear, finish fading, and damage caused by frequent or high-volume usage.
Extended or upgraded warranties for commercial projects may be arranged separately.

Outdoor Use
Furniture products that are specifically designed and marked for outdoor use are covered by a three (3) month limited structural warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty applies only when used in appropriate outdoor conditions, such as:

  • Covered patios, shaded balconies, or semi-enclosed areas

  • Well-ventilated outdoor environments that are not fully exposed to sun or rain

The following are not covered under outdoor warranty:

  • Fading, warping, or cracking due to prolonged sun exposure

  • Rust or corrosion caused by standing water or poor drainage

  • Mold, mildew, or discoloration caused by poor ventilation or improper storage

  • Damage caused by storms, typhoons, floods, or other extreme weather

  • Use in open, uncovered outdoor environments (e.g., gardens, pool decks)

⚠️ Important: Our outdoor furniture is intended for use in protected outdoor settings. To maintain coverage, please use protective covers and store the items during extended rain, typhoons, or extreme conditions. Prolonged full sun and rain exposure may void your warranty.


5.3 Limitations of Liability

The Nua Studio is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages (e.g., lost income or business interruption)

  • Site damages during dismantling or reinstallation, unless due to gross negligence

  • Damages during transport by third-party couriers or logistics providers

  • Natural variations in color, grain, or finish of wood

  • Delays or failure caused by force majeure (e.g., severe weather, lockdowns, material shortages)


5.4 Warranty Exclusions (All Use Cases)

The following are not covered under warranty:

  • Misuse, neglect, or accidental damage

  • Storage in poor or inappropriate conditions (e.g., outdoor use, excessive humidity, pest-prone areas)

  • Failure to follow care and maintenance guidelines

  • Modifications or repairs by unauthorized persons

  • Use of hardware or materials not supplied or approved by The Nua Studio

  • Transport or installation damage caused by third parties

  • Client-requested changes in design after production begins

  • Issues resulting from client-provided designs, layouts, or materials


5.5 Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty will be considered void if:

  • The product has been modified or repaired by non-authorized personnel

  • Any part of the item is altered without written approval

  • The product has been stored or used in unsuitable environmental conditions

  • Installation was performed incorrectly or by unqualified personnel

  • Maintenance and care guidelines were clearly disregarded


5.6 Customer Responsibilities

  • Inspect items immediately upon delivery. Damage or defects must be reported within 48 hours

  • Follow the provided care and maintenance instructions available here

  • Arrange and shoulder return shipping for any warranty claim
